Visit York awards unveiled
The winners of Visit York’s annual tourism awards were revealed last night at a ceremony hosted by writer and broadcaster Gervase Phinn. Among the 14 winners were the National Railway Museum as best conference venue, the Ebor Festival at York Racecourse as best visitor experience and the Feversham Arms Hotel & Spa in Helmsley as best hotel. A panel of independent judges awarded the title of York Ambassador to Dr John Sentamu for his role in putting York on the map.
