Frankenstein to boost Yorkshire tourism coffers

Businesses in Leeds are set to benefit from this weekend's live BBC screening of Frankenstein's Wedding... Live in Leeds, a drama which will incorporate 12,000 audience members. That's the view of Welcome to Yorkshire chief executive Gary Verity who told Insider the event, to be filmed in Kirkstall Abbey, would also raise the profile of Yorkshire as a tourism destination.

Emis reports revenue and profit rise
Emis, which supplies software to doctors' clinics, has reported a rise in profit and revenue this morning. The Leeds-based business said its revenue went up 8 per cent to £62.4m for the year ended 31 December 2010.

Martin-Brooks starts restoration project
Sheffield-based heritage roofing business Martin-Brooks has started work on repairs to the roof of the grade I and II-listed Kelham Hall in Nottinghamshire. The work is part of a £350,000 refurbishment project.
