Wednesday confident of deal
Sheffield Wednesday have moved to reassure their fans about the mystery investors who has agreed to provide a £2m cash injection into the League One football club. Chairman Howard Wilkinson confirmed he had been in meetings with the investors, part of a mult-national company, and was confident a deal will be done.

Bank backs charitable merger
Yorkshire Bank has backed the merger of Chesterfield and District Community Transport with Amber Valley Community Transport. The charitable organisations have joined forces to become Community Transport for Town and Country (CT4TC).

Morley-based Concorde Informatics Technology Group (CITG) has secured a multi-year contract with building solutions company CEMEX UK to provide hardware maintenance. CEMEX has a UK network of 415 locations.

Scriven set for Chinese mission
Sheffield Council leader Paul Scriven is hoping to boost South Yorkshire's trade links with China as part of an eight-day visit to Beijing and Chengdu. It comes following an invitation from the Chengdu Blades, the Sheffield United associated football club in the Sichaun region of the Far Eastern country.

Southdale completes care home
Halifax construction business Southdale has completed its first residential care home. The business, traditionally known for its work in social housing, has built the £2.2m Hill House centre for Leonard Cheshire Disability, the UK’s largest voluntary sector provider of services to disabled people.
