Sheffield is "city of snooker now not steel" - Hearn

Celebrity sports promoter Barry Hearn has told Insider this year's World Snooker Championship has racked up record sales for what he expects to be the most competitive tournament in the event's history. Hearn declared "Sheffield is the city of snooker now not the city of steel" and said the sport has brought millions of pounds into the city's economy.

£30.6m PFI project in Leeds gets green light
A £30.6m wellbeing centre for Holt Park in Leeds has been given the go-ahead. The development will be funded through credits from the government’s Private Finance Initiative (PFI) with the project overseen by Leeds City Council and its contractor Interserve Project Services.

JF Finnegan secures St Paul's instruction
JF Finnegan has been appointed by St Paul’s Developments to construct 32,500 sq ft of retail space at its 50-acre Cortonwood Retail Park in Barnsley. The appointment follows pre-lets to bed supplier Dreams and toy retailer Smyths Toys Superstores.
