Seven successful Yorkshire RGF bids
More than 10,000 jobs are set to be created in Yorkshire and the Humber after seven bids for Regional Growth Fund cash from the region were successful. Projects allocated conditional funding included the planned expansion of the Haribo factory near Wakefield and the 'Gateway to the Sheffield City Region' project. The government said it had allocated £450m of the £1.4bn fund to 50 successful applications but almost 50 bids from Yorkshire were unsuccessful.

B2net stake sold in £12m Swedish deal
Swedish business Proact IT Group has acquired 75 per cent of Chesterfield-based data storage business B2net in a £12m deal. Proact said the agreement included an option for it to buy the remaining 25 per cent currently held by B2net management.

Tapfreight expands with investment
Tapfreight has acquired a fleet of 20 trailers and five heavy goods vehicles in a £750,000 investment backed by Yorkshire Bank. The Barnsley-based business said the investment had been made to help capitalise on growing activity domestically and in Europe.

Earth Centre site owner Kingswood has appointed property consultant GVA as project manager for its multimillion-pound redevelopment of the site near Doncaster.

DSV Road and DSV Air & Sea, divisions of logistics business DSV, are relocating to offices at Bradford Chamber Business Park. DSV Air & Sea is also opening an air freight export department in the area with two related appointments within the team.
