York-headquartered china and crystal retailer Mulberry Hall is aiming to be the global destination of choice for royal wedding commemorative products. Ahead of the big event next month, managing director Adam Sinclair told Insider his business had invested several hundred thousand pounds into commissioning and marketing the product range it is offering.

Gildersome Spur sold for £17.5m
Gildersome Spur, a 24-acre multi-let industrial estate in Leeds, has been sold by Standard Life Investments in a £17.5m deal. Invista Real Estate has acquired the 450,000 sq ft property which is home to tenants including Caterpillar logistics, Opera North, DHL, Next, Home Delivery Network and Cummins Engineering.

New plans submitted for Hammerson's £600m Eastgate Quarters will help “move Leeds up a league”, the project director of the scheme has told Insider. Andrew Hilston, of Hammerson, said: “Everyone involved in the consultation process told us this area was crying out for regeneration and they wanted us to get on with the project as soon as possible.”

Huddersfield-based Marshalls has reported a boost in sales following "difficult trading conditions" but warns "market uncertainty remains". The specialist landscape products group posted a pre-tax profit of £9.2m for the year ended 30 December 2010 - up from 2009's £2.4m loss.
