Cattles cuts branches and staff at Welcome Financial Services
Cattles this morning revealed it will close 18 branches of Welcome Financial Services, its personal loans business. The Batley-based company said that approximately 155 employees would receive notice that they were at risk of redundancy. Cattles told the Stock Exchange the move was “part of its ongoing drive to adjust the cost base of the business to the reducing size of its loan book”. The news follows Cattles’ decision to close 70 Welcome Financial Services branches in February, together with 450 jobs, and its restructuring of Shopacheck in March.
