Milford Haven looks to 2040
Milford Haven Port Authority has started a series of consultations to determine the port’s development needs over the next 30 years. The overall objective is to identify the future spatial requirements of the port, but the planning process will also explore potential trading patterns, threats and issues facing the port, anticipated market developments and possible infrastructure requirements. Milford Haven Port Authority said the process will take between six to nine months and will include public consultation with port users, employees and local communities.

Here will be dragons, as sculpture contractor appointed
Pochin Construction, the company responsible for the Welsh Assembly Government’s regional office at Llandudno Junction, has been appointed to build a 25-metre high dragon sculpture to sit atop a 40-metre high tower overlooking Wrexham. The Cheshire-based builder will start work on the “Waking the Dragon” sculpture this autumn. The sculpture is the long-held dream of local businessman and entrepreneur Simon Wingett, who said he was confident Pochin “will deliver on time and to budget”.
