Promotion "would boost Swansea area"
The Swansea area will get a big economic and confidence boost if Swansea City win promotion to the Premier League on Monday, panelists at Insider’s Swansea and West Wales Economic Debate said. Professor Richard B Davies, vice chancellor of Swansea University, told the business audience at the Liberty Stadium: “The psychological boost to Swansea would be massive. Suddenly we will be playing in a whole different league, literally and metaphorically. It can’t be underestimated.”
