Afonwen targets English expansion after refinancing
Afonwen Laundry, based in Pwllheli, has arranged a £6m refinancing package to help boost its expansion plans. The refinancing was backed by Yorkshire Bank, HSBC Equipment Finance and the Welsh Assembly Government.

Family fortunes as Capper sells up
Capper & Co, the Spar shop operator based in Pontyclun, South Wales, has been acquired by fellow retailer AF Blakemore of Willenhall near Birmingham. The deal, details of which will be unveiled this week, will provide a windfall for almost 50 shareholders, most of who are related to the Capper family.

Flint-based RWS Minibus Travel is targeting the private sector after founder Roy Williams struck a deal with two former Yell account managers. The new directors, Clive Tucker and Mark Lloyd, were backed by a support package from NatWest and its asset management arm Lombard.
