Sharp rise in top Welsh company profits
The 300 biggest companies in Wales have more than tripled their collective profits, the latest Insider Top 300 has found. They racked up a combined surplus of £1.8bn in their latest accounts, up from £564m last year, despite a drop in combined turnover to £21.7bn from £24.2bn last year.

£25m Cardiff hotel to create 100 jobs
Irish business Dalata Hotel Group said it is set to create 100 jobs in Cardiff with the opening of a £25m Maldron Hotel in Cardiff city centre. The hotel, which opens next month, marks Dalata's first major investment in the UK market.

DCS expands on Wern Trading Estate
Facilities management company Diverse Commercial Solutions has agreed a five-year lease on the Wern Trading Estate in Rogerstone. The deal was brokered by the Cardiff office of DTZ.

Rhymney Brewery to relocate
Rhymney Brewery is to relocate from Merthyr Tydfil to Blaenavon and open a 15,000 sq ft brewery and visitor centre. The £950,000 site is set to open its doors in October and create at least three jobs, according to the business.
