Millennium Plaza problem as Hawtin sells up
Richard Hayward, the chief executive of property company Hawtin, is close to taking the company’s £31m industrial portfolio private. Shareholders in Hawtin, which is based near Newport, will vote on a bid from Hayward’s Gracelands Investments vehicle on 31 March. But Hawtin expressed frustration with the sale process for its Millennium Plaza complex in Cardiff, which creditor Anglo Irish Bank is trying to sell through receivership.
