BaseKit nets £4m for international expansion
Chepstow website design company BaseKit Platform has secured £4m ($6.5m) in venture capital from Nauta Capital, Eden Ventures and the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts (Nesta) to support its global ambitions. The capital takes investment in BaseKit to a combined £6.25m ($10m).

Dhais raises funds as losses narrow
Dhais, a hearing aid and wheelchair seller, has taken steps to bolster working capital through a proposed £450,000 shop sale and a £100,000 fundraising with HHI, a Portugal-based business. Half-year pre-tax losses at the Cardiff-based business have narrowed to £579,000, from £734,000 in 2009, on turnover which dropped to £3.5m from £5m.
