Yorkshire expansion for Wilson Field

Sheffield-based business consultancy Wilson Field expects to post record turnover for its financial year and is expanding its Yorkshire presence by opening a Leeds office. Speaking to Insider, Phil Meekin, a business finance specialist at the firm, said that more people are exploring the insolvency options as banks refuse to lend.

Rivals team up for new manufacturing venture
Rival South Yorkshire garage door supply businesses The Garage Door and JB Doors have joined forces to create the jointly-owned Allugard. The new venture was supported by start-up funding from Yorkshire Bank’s South Yorkshire Financial Solutions Centre.

Solid start for CPS
Doncaster-based Clyde Process Solutions (CPS) has said that its performance for the six months to 31 August has been in line with expectations. The company said that as at 31 July its order book stood at £24.2m, up 18 per cent on its financial year end in February.
