£10m Sanguine deal struck at Insider event
A meeting at an Insider event led to a deal between Bristol-based Sanguine Hospitality and The Cube to develop a £10m hotel, spa and restaurant development at the landmark Birmingham building, it has emerged. The development incorporates a Marco Pierre White restaurant, Steakhouse Bar and Grill, a roof terrace and sky bar and four-star Indigo hotel with a member-only health club and spa.

Bournemouth Airport operator eyes up expansion
Bournemouth Airport operator Manchester Airports Group (MAG) has signalled its intention to make acquisitions following the ruling that BAA will likely have to sell Stansted and either Glasgow or Edinburgh Airports. Speaking to Insider, group chief executive Charles Cornish - who took over the reins at MAG last October, said: “We will almost certainly be interested; presuming they become available we’ll look at getting a vehicle together to buy one of them.”
