South West rail scheme on track for 2012
Work could start on the Swindon to Kemble redoubling rail scheme at the beginning of 2012. That's according to Cotswolds MP Geoffrey Clifton-Brown. He told Insider the Network Rail team currently working on another redoubling scheme could move straight to Swindon in the new year.

Traffic drop contributes to £7.3m Severn Bridge loss
Bristol-based Severn River Crossing has reported a pre-tax loss of £7.3m for the year to 31 December 2010. The business blamed the loss on a drop in traffic using the Severn bridges.

BBC presenter set for PR conference
