Exclusive: Pontin's collapse hit Santander hard
Britannia Hotel Group paid £18.5m to buy the iconic holiday camp operator Pontin's, owner of Brean Sands in Somerset, out of administration, a new report has revealed. But Insider can reveal the cash raised from the sale earlier this year will be insufficient to prevent Santander taking a multimillion-pound hit on the collapse.

Glendinning buys Bude asphalt plant
Glendinning has bought the asphalt plant at Pigsdon Quarry near Bude from Tarmac for an undisclosed sum. Newton Abbot-based Glendinning is a quarrying, concrete products and road contracting business.
