Cornish robot maker wins Nasa contract
A Cornish robotics firm has won a contract to provide a robot for Nasa’s Cape Kennedy Space Centre in Florida. Engineered Arts, in Penryn, will supply one of its Robothespians to welcome visitors to the centre this autumn. Nasa chose the £79,500 5ft 9in tall robot after seeing it in operation at a trade show.

Hydrogen fuel cell-powered Hondas could be built in Swindon one day, sources at the motor manufacturer have said.

Cobham pays out €37m in arbitration case
Dorset-based Aerospace and defence group Cobham has to make a one-off payment to a commercial customer of €37m before tax as a result of a binding arbitration award from the International Chamber of Commerce.

Cornwall Wave Hub firm wins £3m in grant funding
The company set to be the first to plug into the new 12-tonne Wave Hub off the coast of Cornwall has won two funding awards worth $4.8m (£3m). New Jersey and Warwick-based Ocean Power Technologies won the two awards from the US Department of Energy.
