Milk Link aims for £600m mark
Bristol-based Milk Link is expecting to boost turnover by £50m this year. It hit £550m in 2010 but Will Sanderson, the company's corporate affairs director, told Insider he expects the figure to reach £600m for the year ending 31 March 2011.

GCHQ to demolish Oakley Cheltenham offices

Planning permission has been approved to create a new tourist attraction in Weymouth. Work will begin immediately on creating the Sandworld site at Lodmoor Country Park.

EDS Roofing Supplies expands Bristol operation
The Bristol depot of EDS Roofing Supplies has expanded into larger premises, just 18 months after opening for business. The company opened at the SEGRO-owned Ashton Vale Industrial Estate in April 2009 but it has outgrown the premises and moved into the adjoining unit, doubling its storage size.

Flybe pilots reject pay deal
Pilots working for Exeter-based Flybe have reportedly rejected a deal on pay and conditions. They could vote for industrial action if urgent talks, due to be held next week, fail to provide a breakthrough.

Cobham wins $25m contract
Dorset-headquartered Cobham has won contracts in excess of $25m (£15.6m) from security company Lockheed Martin. Cobham Mission Equipment will supply aerial refuelling systems and external fuel tanks for Lockheed Martin’s C-130 Hercules aircraft.

South West unemployment reaches 165,000
The number of people unemployed in the South West increased by 17,000 in the final three months of 2010 to 165,000. This means 6.1 per cent of people in the South West are unemployed.

Call for AIM shares in ISAs
The Bristol office of accountancy firm Saffery Champness is calling on the government to allow the shares of AIM-listed companies to be included in Individual Savings Accounts (ISAs).

Sharp growth in private sector output
The South West has experienced the sharpest growth in the private sector since July 2007, according to the Lloyds TSB South West Business Activity Index. The monthly report, which measures output of the region’s manufacturing and service sectors, said that input price inflation was sharp during January, leading to a further rise in output prices – the fastest since November 2008.
