Gloucestershire set for £50m Cheltenham Festival bonanza

The Cheltenham Festival starts tomorrow and the four-day event will bring millions of pounds into Gloucestershire, according to Edward Gillespie, managing director of Cheltenham Racecourse. Gillespie told Insider that he believes “the positive impact of the festival will be approximately £50m on the county – and that is totally separate from money spent at the actual festival”.

End of an era for Gloucester office market
Gloucester will reach ‘the end of an era’ once a last remaining office in Waterwells House is occupied, according to city property agent Alder King. The company said the 10,070 sq ft building, on Waterwells Business Park, is the only out-of-town new grade A office of its size and once it is occupied, companies will find it difficult to find large office space.
