Bristol media hub could open in 2014

A media hub that would house BBC Bristol could become a reality within the city by 2014. That's according to Paul Appleby, who is chairman of Bristol Media and part of a task group working to create a media site. He told Insider that “over the next three years there’s going to be some interesting changes”.

£35m Co-op site gets go-ahead

A £35m distribution centre is to be built in Avonmouth after Bristol City Council gave Gallan Group and Stoford the go-ahead to construct a 435,750 sq ft site for the Manchester-headquartered Co-operative Group. The building is scheduled to be completed in early 2012.
