LEP confident of Newquay enterprise success

The man behind the bid for a Newquay enterprise zone has said he is confident the scheme will clinch government backing. The proposal aims to create more than 1,000 jobs with 700 in the aerospace industry. Chris Pomfret, chairman of the Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP), told Insider: "I think the fact that we meet all of the basic criteria that were laid down by government gives us a good chance – the press have said that a number of other proposals didn't."   READ MORE...
