Severn Glocon plans international expansion
Severn Glocon Group, a recent winner of a Queen's Award, is planning to expand its Severn Ball Valves subsidiary into the Middle East and Australia, Insider can reveal. Colin Findlay, executive director of oil and gas parts supplier Severn Glocon, told Insider: "We've established Severn Ball Valves over the last year – it's been very successful, based out of Aberdeen – and we're now establishing centres in Gloucester, Dubai and Perth."

Dawson declares DIY chain interest
Plymouth-based entrepreneur Chris Dawson is eyeing a takeover of the Focus DIY chain, it has emerged. Dawson, who runs his The Range empire from a base in Estover, told reporters he was interested in purchasing Focus' entire stock after it was plunged into administration yesterday.
