Rail link-up could stimulate Swindon economy
The proposed Swindon to Kemble redoubling scheme will encourage inward investment, according to Clair Prosser, policy executive at the Swindon Chamber of Commerce. She told Insider that Swindon’s economy will be “stimulated by improvements on the rail” because “good infrastructure equals a better economy”.

Pollard secures NHS contract
Bridgwater-based Pollard will start work on a £2.1m development to remodel the Rydon Ward at Wellsprings hospital in Taunton. Construction is due to start at the end of March and is expected to be completed by February 2012.
