Super League decision crucial to Vikings future
The future of legendary rugby league club Widnes Vikings hinges on a successful bid to rejoin the game’s elite division, according to the club’s chief executive Julie Gaskell. Speaking to Insider, she said the decision whether to grant the club a three-year Super League licence would determine if they face an uncertain future or could grow into a sustainable business less reliant on benefactor Steve O’Connor.
