Penning reiterates Liverpool cruise plans
Southampton's latest attempt to block Liverpool's plans for a fully-serviced turnaround cruise terminal appears to have failed. Royston Smith, leader of Southampton Council, met with transport minister Mike Penning earlier this week in a bid to get the government to uphold the ban on cruises starting and finishing at Pier Head. He told Insider that the talks were constructive.
