Derwent tries to drag Old Trafford plan back to court
Albert Gubay’s Derwent Holdings has again thrown a spanner in the works of Lancashire Cricket Club’s proposed £32m redevelopment of their Old Trafford cricket ground. The company is seeking leave to appeal the recent High Court decision in favour of the scheme. Lancashire’s chief executive Jim Cumbes told Insider the move was “nothing more than spoiling tactics”.

The Northwest Regional Development Agency has accepted the bid by Northern Group to buy Jactin House in Ancoats, Manchester. Northern developed nearby Flint Glass Wharf and is currently onsite with the Ice Plant, an 82-apartment scheme across Cutting Room Square from Jactin House.
