LSH completes move to “vibrant” Spinningfields
Property consultancy Lambert Smith Hampton has completed the deal to move to Spinningfields, Insider can reveal. The agency will be a sub-tenant of accountancy firm BDO at 3 Hardman Street, occupying around 10,000 sq ft. BDO was advised by OBI Property and Drivers Jonas Deloitte.

KBC Business Capital, the specialist asset-based lending division of KBC in the UK, has been sold to PNC Financial Services Group. KBC Business Capital, which has regional offices in Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham and Cambridge, provides asset-based lending solutions to UK companies across a broad range of sectors.

Cash pumped into Fairbanks
Fairbanks Environmental, a Skelmersdale business, has secured an investment from French company Tokheim for an undisclosed amount. Fairbanks provides a product allowing forecourt retailers to monitor and prevent wasteful fuel leaks at the pump and storage tanks.

HBJ ships out of Spinningfields
Law firm HBJ Gateley Wareing has opened its new office at Ship Canal House on King Street, Manchester. The firm has taken just over 31,000 sq ft over four floors of the Grade II-listed building.

BLG expands in Chancery Place
Law firm Barlow Lyde & Gilbert (BLG) has taken a further four floors of its premises in Chancery Place, Manchester. The space will accommodate the 250 staff who moved from failed law firm Halliwells in July.

Newly qualified lawyers snapped up
The majority of newly qualified solicitors in the North West will be retained on either permanent or fixed term contracts when their training contracts expire this month. That's according to BCL Legal which has reported on average that between 70 and 100 per cent of newly trained lawyers will be kept on.

Record profit for Ai Claims
Ai Claims Solutions has reported record revenues and profits. The Blackpool-based business, which manages motor claims, says turnover rose to £91.9m for the year ending 30 June 2010 - up from £55.7m.

JJB Sports reports "steady progress"
JJB Sports chief executive Keith Jones says the turnaround of JJB Sports will not be a "quick fix" as the Wigan-based sports retailer posted its half-yearly results today. The company has reported like-for-like retail revenue up 14.4 per cent on the same period last year.
