Cash pumped into Fairbanks
Fairbanks Environmental, a Skelmersdale business, has secured an investment from French company Tokheim for an undisclosed amount. Fairbanks provides a product allowing forecourt retailers to monitor and prevent wasteful fuel leaks at the pump and storage tanks.

A £4.7m investment package has been confirmed for Atlantic Park in Sefton by the Northwest European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA). The project could create as many as 1,500 jobs.

Heathcotes wins boat show deal
Heathcotes Outside, founded by celebrity chef Paul Heathcote, has won a £300,000 contract to provide all corporate and consumer hospitality at the inaugural Liverpool Boat Show next year. The contract runs for the next three years, with the opportunity for an extension.

Exopack doubles its pre-tax profit
Wrexham-based Exopack Advanced Coatings has doubled its pre-tax profit for the year to 31 December 2009, up to £2.7m from £1.31m in the previous year. However, revenue at the manufacturer of coated papers and films was slightly down at £21m.
