Leaders welcome ‘Mersey Waters’ enterprise zone
Business leaders have praised the government’s decision to set up an enterprise zone on an area that straddles both sides of the River Mersey, covering Peel's Wirral Waters and Liverpool Waters schemes. Liverpool City Council leader Joe Anderson said: "I do not believe that any other area of the country has the quality of development opportunities that we have."

Halewood scheme marches on
Demolition work in Halewood has been completed ahead of the £16m regeneration of Raven Court. Bulldozers have been on site to pull down the old buildings to make way for a new 48,000 sq ft scheme with a new supermarket and a range of individual shopping units.
