Parcel2go targets international growth
Bolton online courier service Parcel2go is set to launch in Spain as its founder looks to grow sales beyond the £17m mark. Fil Adams-Mercer, who appeared on Channel 4's Secret Millionaire earlier this year, told Insider that its first franchise operation will open in Barcelona next month, while a French division will open early next year. The company could also be set to profit from the ongoing turmoil at Royal Mail.

James Fisher in £2.1m deal
Marine services business James Fisher and Sons has bought Aberdeen-based RigCool and its sister company RigCool Australia for £2.1m in cash. The Barrow-in-Furness company has also assumed £2m of outstanding debt.

UU "on track" after non-core sell-off

Sheppard Robson appointed on £21m eye hospital
Sheppard Robson has been appointed by Bruntwood and Manchester Science Parks (MSP) on the £21m Manchester Royal Eye Hospital to create a centre for bio-medical research that will include laboratory space, clinical testing wards, offices, teaching facilities and other specialist space.

Premier Inn signs at Dale Street
Property Alliance Group has submitted plans to build a Premier Inn hotel in Dale Street in Manchester city centre. It will be built on the site of the proposed 22-storey Sarah Tower, formerly owned by the collapsed developer BSC Group.

£46m exhibition hall back in spotlight
ACC Liverpool hopes to put its business case for a new £46m exhibition hall before the city council by the end of the year. The venue’s chief executive Bob Prattey told Insider that conceptual designs have been completed and the next step is to approach Liverpool City Council with its proposals.
