£46m exhibition hall back in spotlight
ACC Liverpool hopes to put its business case for a new £46m exhibition hall before the city council by the end of the year. The venue’s chief executive Bob Prattey told Insider that conceptual designs have been completed and the next step is to approach Liverpool City Council with its proposals.

Castle Street set for £2.9m revamp
Work is due to start on the £2.9m regeneration of Castle Street in Liverpool city centre on Monday. The scheme, part of the City Centre Movement Strategy, aims to improve the highway and public areas within the World Heritage Site.

Mays to cash in with new store
North West pawnbroker Mays says it has signed a lease to open a fifth store in Greater Manchester. The Liverpool-registered business, which has shops in Manchester city centre, Oldham, Collyhurst and Salford, is to open a new branch at the Ladysmith Centre in Ashton-under-Lyne.
