United Utilities in line with expectations
Warrington-headquartered United Utilities today announced that trading has been in line with expectations. It says it reflects continuing revenue pressures from reduced water volumes, ongoing bad debt costs and an expected increase in property rates.

EIB set to confirm preferred JESSICA bidders
The European Investment Bank (EIB) is set to confirm the two preferred bidders that will manage a £100m investment pot for urban development projects in the North West, Insider understands. The EIB called for expressions of interest to manage the fund in March and it is believed that a decision as to whether applicants have been successful is imminent.
