Renewable energy developer RES has revealed it plans to build a £300m environmentally-friendly biomass power plant within the Port of Liverpool at Alexandra Dock. The project will generate green electricity for homes and businesses as well as bringing scores of jobs to the area.

Langtree selected as Daresbury partner
Developer Langtree has been selected as the private sector joint venture partner for the development of Daresbury Science and Innovation Campus (SIC). The creation of the joint venture will see the development of around 1 million sq ft of space for science and innovation facilities, high-tech businesses and supporting infrastructure, bringing more than 6,000 new jobs to the area over the next 30 years.

Footwear retailer Daniel Footwear is the latest business to take space at The Metquarter in Liverpool city centre. The letting follows the confirmation that Franklins Deli is to open a 1,500 sq ft outlet in The Metquarter later this year.
