JD Sports on track after strong first-half
Retail giant JD Sports Fashion has enjoyed another strong period of profit and revenue growth despite the tough times on the high street. The Bury-headquartered company, which trades from more than 530 stores, reported an 18.5 per cent increase in sales to £383.9m for the six months to 30 June, while profit before tax leapt 64.3 per cent to £16.6m.

Go Goodwins secures asset finance
Go Goodwins, an Eccles coach and bus company, has bought five new vehicles after securing an undisclosed asset finance package from Yorkshire Bank in Manchester.
