Liverpool ‘embassy’ secures London stay
Liverpool’s ‘embassy’ in London, set up to raise the profile of the city as an investment destination, is to stay open until July after it secured further private sector cash. City council leader Joe Anderson said: "The embassy has been all we could have hoped for, it’s essentially about putting Liverpool on the map in London and we’ve attracted a lot of interest as a place to invest and do business."

Jobs lost as Sorsky goes under

Green light for £200m Kirkby plans
Plans to regenerate Kirkby town centre have been given the green light by Knowsley Council’s planning committee. The Tesco-led scheme, drawn up after the Destination Kirkby plans with Everton FC were scrapped, is expected to bring in more than £200m of private investment into the town.
