JLR gears up for growth at Halewood
Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) is to create another 500 jobs at its factory in Merseyside after agreeing “a landmark pay and conditions settlement” between itself and the trade unions representing its workforce. The company, owned by Indian group Tata, also plans to nearly double its output from its UK factories to 500,000 cars a year.

Ainscough goes for consent for Nestlé site
Ainscough Strategic Land (ASL) has submitted a planning application for the redevelopment of a 20-acre former Nestlé factory in Cheshire, following 18 months of consultation and masterplanning. The scheme will include 160 new houses, community allotments and new public spaces on the northern edge of Cuddington village.

Liverpool chartered surveyor Rees Straw has concluded the sale of a 2.25-acre plot in Widnes to Bellway Homes. The site, situated in Cronton, has outline planning consent for 26 houses.
