Green light for M&S Williamson Square expansion
Plans which pave the way for Marks & Spencer to expand in Liverpool have been passed by city councillors. The retail giant is proposing to demolish the former Famous Army Stores and ex-Stoniers store in Williamson Square, which it has recently bought, and replace it with a four or five-floor building. M&S told Insider it will begin developing the site next year but is remaining tight-lipped on what it will be used for.
