Council plans shared vision for Liverpool
Business leaders in Liverpool will this morning unveil a new partnership plan that aims to better sell the city nationally and internationally. The initiative, known as One Plan, will encourage organisations from the public sector and companies from the private sector to share resources, skills, ideas and expertise.

NWH launches new division after Rok collapse
North Wales Housing (NWH) has launched a specialist heating and plumbing division to carry out repair and maintenance works across its portfolio of more than 2,300 homes. The work was previously carried out by collapsed national building company Rok.

NWF Group, the Cheshire-based distributor of food, feed and fuel, has said it expects to deliver a pre-tax profit ahead of expectations for the six months to 30 November.

Heinz workers set for strike action
About 1,100 workers at Heinz’s factory in Wigan will strike for 24 hours this evening after a unanimous decision to take industrial action in rejection of the company’s recent pay offer. National union Unite has warned the strike will affect Christmas production and as many as two million fewer Heinz soup and beans cans will be produced.

Wirral Business Park full as two deals completed
Alderley Edge-based property investor and developer Bluemantle has let the two remaining buildings at Wirral Business Park. Charity Wired has taken a 6,000 sq ft office building at £8 per sq ft.

Acting on behalf of a UK institution, Knight Frank has completed the investment sale of an office scheme at Birchwood in Warrington to PE Jones Properties/Orbit for £3.1m.

Celebrity chef comes to Liverpool
Celebrity chef Raymond Blanc is to open a restaurant at Mann Island in Liverpool city centre. The 4,750 sq ft Brasserie Blanc outlet will be the chef’s only eatery in the North West.
