Liverpool City Council in senior manager cull
Liverpool City Council has confirmed that half of its senior managers are to go and the number of council business units are to be slashed from 74 to just 27. The move is expected to save £4.5m a year. Council leader Joe Anderson said it would end the “top-heavy, bloated senior management set-up” at the authority.
