Testing company awarded £140,000
A business that offers testing, regulatory and compliance services to the defence and commercial sectors has been awarded a £140,000 Grant for Business Investment (GBI). TRaC EMC & Safety, which has a regional base in Up Holland near Skelmersdale, said the cash will secure the future of its 49 employees in the North West and enable it to take on eight new staff. It will also relocate to more suitable premises within Skelmersdale. Chief executive Mark Heaven said the grant has allowed the business to bring forward the proposed move by three years. GBI is part of Solutions for Business, the government's package of publicly funded business support.
