Indian growth will be ‘opportunity of the decade’ – Datla
The growth of India’s small business base will be the opportunity of the decade, according to Ramesh Datla, chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry’s MSME Council. Speaking at the UK India Business Council summit in Manchester, Datla said now was the time for companies in the UK to develop collaboration opportunities in this sector to drive balance sheet growth.

Palm oil company to invest £9m in Liverpool plant
New Britain Palm Oil (NBPO) is to invest £9m to build a processing facility at its Liverpool palm oil refinery. The company said the site would be the world's first operation of its type dedicated to manufacturing bakery products made with palm oil that comes from sustainable sources.

Enterprise wins Severn Trent Water contract
Lancashire support services group Enterprise has won a contract with Severn Trent Water (STW) to repair and maintain its clean water network. The contract covers the entire STW geographic region and it has an annual revenue value to Enterprise of about £30m.
