Liverpool set for National boost
Liverpool’s hotels, shops and restaurants are gearing up for a bumper weekend as racegoers from across the UK descend on the city for this year’s sell-out Grand National at Aintree. The Mersey Partnership, the region’s tourist board, has estimated that the event will generate £8.5m in visitor spend for the city region and £25.2m at the racecourse itself.
