The commercialisation of technology in the UK is an important debate and one that needs to continue as the country builds on its knowledge-based assets. This week, University of Manchester spinout Nano ePrint, led by entrepreneur Scott White, secured a £580,000 investment to develop its printed electronics from the UMIP Premier Fund and the Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA). And Mark Hughes, executive director of economic development, said he recognised the "world-beating potential of the technology".
