SuperPort key to Liverpool investment
Branding Liverpool as a ‘super port’ will be key to attracting investment, according to Peter Nears, strategic planning director at Peel Holdings. Speaking at Insider’s Logistics breakfast in Liverpool yesterday, he defended plans to maximise the city’s maritime assets through the scheme.

Stena Line acquires Liverpool ferry route
Stena Line has acquired two routes from DFDS from Belfast to Liverpool and Heysham, in a deal worth approximately £40m. The acquisition also includes four vessels, the chartered Lagan Seaways and Mersey Seaways on the Liverpool-Belfast route and the freight carriers Scotia Seaways and Hibernia Seaways.

Home Instead set for St Helens jobs drive

Hull housing estate transfers to Riverside
Kingston-upon-Hull City Council has transferred approximately 1,200 housing units on the North Bransholme estate to Riverside Housing Group, the Liverpool-headquartered social housing provider.
