Insider partners major business awards The Morgan Foundation, created by Wolverhampton Wanderers FC chairman and Redrow founder Steve Morgan, has this morning launched the second year of its Entrepreneur Awards and has this year extended the competition to encompass the Wolverhampton area. The awards are designed to encourage entrepreneurship in Shropshire, the Wolverhampton area, Merseyside, West Cheshire and North Wales. This year Insider is acting as media partner for the awards, which are sponsored by Barclays and held in conjunction with charity Wolves Aid. Winners and runners-up will receive prizes worth £150,000 in money and professional services at a glittering awards ceremony being held at the Carden Park Hotel on 20 November. Among the confirmed event partners are Deloitte and Mace & Jones.

The Morgan Foundation Entrepreneur Awards are divided into five categories: best new business under four years old; best entrepreneur or business providing an economic and social contribution to the region; best young entrepreneur under the age of 25; best social enterprise or charity; and the Against All Odds award.
