Titan bounces back from 2009 'low point'
Titan Europe, the manufacturing giant which has its UK base in Worcestershire, said revenue climbed to £355.2m in its year-end results this morning. Trading profit at the company soared by £32.2m and pre-tax profit was up nearly £45m on its end of year results in 2009. The company said it had experienced recovery in all main markets, particularly construction, and had recovered from its “low point” of losses in 2009.

Laser melting business snapped up by Renishaw
Staffordshire-based MTT Technologies has been taken over by Gloucestershire-headquartered Renishaw. MTT develops and produces manufacturing and prototyping systems.

City Jaw manufactured with Co-op funding
Tamworth engineering company Crushers has sold its first mobile crushing machine after securing funding from The Co-operative Bank. The machine, known as The City Jaw 1830, is being sold to Krossning & Sortering SRC in Sweden. The unit will be used to crush granite for the development of a wind turbine site.

Olympic dreams for Coventry
