Charles Stanley stakes claim on JJFS
Jobson James Financial Services (JJFS) has been bought by stockbroker Charles Stanley for £2.25m. The sale price of Birmingham-based JJFS was agreed on the condition of certain targets being achieved, said Charles Stanley this morning.

A golf driving range has launched in Stone, Staffordshire, after two entrepreneurs secured funding from The Co-operative Bank. Stone Driving Range was financed by a £340,000 loan from the bank.

Jewson invests £7.7m in business
Coventry builders' merchant Jewson Tool Hire has invested £5.5m in 450 JCB machines. Tool Hire - the rental division of Jewson - has also invested in 200 Thwaites mini dumpers in a deal worth an additional £2.2m.

Fall in construction output - ONS

Turnover up at Wright Hassall
Leamington Spa law firm Wright Hassall said it has experienced a sixth successive year of increased turnover in its 2010 year-end results. The firm said annual turnover rose 9.4 per cent to £13m.

Casepak and SCA agree Walsall waste contract
Casepak, SCA Recycling and Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council have agreed a five-year waste management contract. It is hoped the joint agreement will help increase the area's recycling rates.
