£12.3m MBO at LAS
Lanes Assistance Services (LAS), a claims management company based in Quinton, has been acquired for £12.3m in a management buyout backed by investment from private-equity firm Gresham. Gresham has taken a 70 per cent stake in LAS and the remaining 30 per cent is owned by the management team, which is led by LAS managing director Darren Cooper and commercial director Tim Walker. LAS, with offices in Manchester and Birmingham, provides outsourced claims management and building repair services to the insurance industry. Paul Franks, partner at Gresham, said: “We have been looking to invest again in this market for some time now.
