Salloway to open up in Nottingham
In a surprise move, commercial property consultancy Salloway has announced it will open up a new office in Nottingham. Speaking to Insider, senior partner Stephen Salloway said the development will allow the consultancy to “expand its operations.”

Enterprise park to undergo expansion
Planning permission has been granted to extend Lincoln Enterprise Park. North Kesteven District Council has given consent to increase the size of the site, and work is due to start on the creation of an additional four office units and three industrial units in the New Year.

Mainstay wins Blueprint maintenance contract
Blueprint, the developer behind Leicester’s Phoenix Square building, has appointed Mainstay Residential as managing agent for the residential and commercial space. The Nottingham-based developer said that Mainstay will take responsibility for the day-to-day care of the mixed used development from 1 December.

Axis Forty Three scheme takes off
Construction work has begun on the first phase of the Axis Forty Three office development in Towcester. Commercial property developer Westleigh has begun building the first three offices at the development off Old Tiffield Road.

Northamptonshire "actively pursuing" LEP
Northamptonshire County Council has told Insider that it is “still actively pursuing” a Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) bid. The proposal – which was not approved in October – is the only East Midlands partnership which has still not been accepted by the government.

Sales up at Topps Tiles
The chief executive of Leicester-based Topps Tiles has described the company’s performance in the past year as “robust”, after revealing a slight increase in revenue. The tile and wood flooring company revealed a 2 per cent rise to £182.4m in its annual results this morning.

Record results at RPC
RPC Group, based in Northampton, has recorded a record £13m in net profit through its interim results this morning. The rigid plastic packaging supplier experienced a 64 per cent increase in net profit for the six months to 30 September 2010.

Harvey Ingram takes on two
Law firm Harvey Ingram has appointed two specialist trusts and probate solicitors. Suzanne Bussell and Iwan Williams have been recruited following the Leicester-based firm’s announcement last month of six new appointments.

Chamber scoops national award
Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce has won a national award for its lobbying activities. The chamber scooped the prize for Most Effective Campaigning at the British Chambers of Commerce’s annual awards.

Phoenix rises with revenue increase
IT services company, Phoenix IT group, has recorded a 13 per cent increase in revenue for the six months ended 30 September. The Northampton-based company’s chief executive, Nick Robinson, said that the growth was driven by “acquisitions and new business wins”.
